Happy 2nd Birthday!

Last Saturday was my little punkin's birthday. We had a wonderful time at his party. He is so much fun! My son made Jackson a rocket birthday cake. I was so impressed!

Happy Spring!

I'm so glad Spring is here! I've got some flowers ready to bloom any day now, but until then I thought I'de post a picture of one of my Spring creations. I call him Rutherford Rabbit. He's found a nice home up North and I'm hoping he'll bring a taste of Spring with him.

What I've Been Working On

I'm truly blessed to have a very dear customer request a special order. This was a fun project. I really appreciate each and every one of my faithful customers. :)

I started this Bunny Pull Toy when our weather was more like Spring. Well, we woke up to a lot of snow this morning, more than we've had in years and its March 2. The latter part of our week is going to be in the 60's! Thank God for Spring! Maybe those daffodils will benefit from the snow. I can't wait to see them in full bloom.

I've been very busy this month. Although I've been working on a special order, this month has had lots of other tasks that needed attention. Things that would bore you like our taxes, and painting at my MoM's house. This past Saturday, was a fun day at her house. Mike brought my Jackson out for me to play with while he did some much needed work around Mom's house. It was a blessing that Mike did the work for us, and even more that I got to play with Jackson! I have to admit that I'm not used to playing baseball and soccer for 4 hours, and the next day my knees were hurting! It was well worth it. Here's some recent pics of the little guy, and I have to add that he can throw a ball like you wouldn't believe. I did a lot of ducking!

Isn't Life Amazing?

I'm going to be a Grandma again! My son Mike and his wife Anna are expecting their second child in August! My son called me on Saturday to tell me that Anna had a sonogram for bethany.org. If you're not familiar with the organization, its a Christian organization that offers alternatives to abortion. They used a new machine and even though Anna is only 11 weeks along and the baby is only 2 inches long, they could see its little arms moving all around! Bethany.org will be using her sonogram in their program. We're all very excited with the anticipation of another life coming into our family.

Let It Snow!

I know all the kids were cheering this morning when they found out their schools were closed. My daughter-in-law sent me some pics she took of my grandson. I'm not so sure he's loving it yet, but he's sure cute all bundled up! Wish I could have been there to teach him how to throw a snowball or make a snow angel, or just give him a hug.

Happy Inauguration Day 2009

I love a Patriotic celebration, and today is probably the biggest one in history. I'll be watching and I'm feeling so blessed to be an American.

A Sweet Companion

I think, like so many, now that the holidays are over we're just taking winter one day at a time because it seems as though that's what it gives us. We're really getting cold here and I know its a concern for the Inauguration festivities. I've been feeling bad for our little 4 legged guys lately. We've cut back on their nightly walks because its been so bitter cold.

I thought I would share a picture of our Gonchar (named after a Russian Hockey Player) sitting in my sewing room. He's a sweet 15 lb Silky Terrier that we got at the shelter about 7 years ago. He was brought in as a stray. He had little to no hair on his ears and tail. The little neighbor children said his tail looked like a little finger! My husband said I went to the shelter and found the most pitiful looking dog out the bunch. Gonchar is really a sweet little guy despite his fears of loud noises and love for barking. He has a 4 legged companion, Winnie, as of April this year. Winnie was my Mom's dog. I'll have to snap a picture of him soon.
