Happy Independence Day!

On the day that we celebrate our Independence, I want to thank all of our Hero's that have served our Country and those who are presently serving. My family and I are sending out a special greeting to those we know personally serving right now--both at home and abroad. We love you and pray for your safety.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Father's Day

This is our oldest son and his son. This picture brings back memories of when we used to take the boys fishing. On any given night, we would just throw a few fishing rods in the car and fish at one of the local ponds. I enjoy seeing our Son carry on the tradition with his son.

Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads out there!

Mothers Day 2009

This was the first Mother's Day without my Dear Mom and I sorely missed her. But I know I'm not alone in feeling like there's an emptiness in my heart. I was reminded by our Pastor that for many-- Mother's Day can be a sad day. I know there are many others who have felt a similar burden today. There are many Mother's that have lost their children. I am fortunate to still have my two sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law and an awesome grandson. There are Mothers who are worried every day about their children that are actively serving in our Military in harms way and cannot see them today or tomorrow (I know some them). There are many who want to be Mothers and cannot. There are some children who are sad because their Mom's just weren't good Moms. My Mom was a great Mom. I still don't know how she raised the 5 of us and kept such vigor! Yes, I truly miss my Dear Mom but I know some day I will see her again and that I am blessed every day because of her.
Take care-
Debbie

My husband took this picture outside the front of our house tonight. What a beautiful sunset!
